At Gaba, every instructor is required to teach English conversation skills to all levels of English learners, from beginning conversation to advanced business English; therefore, applicants must be first and foremost native English speakers or have a native level of English.
Equally, applicants must be professional, mature and respectful of different cultures and opinions. They should enjoy meeting new people, have a passion for teaching English, and a willingness to grow as an instructor.
Applicants should also have work experience, preferably in teaching English as a second language, along with a four-year degree from an accredited university or college. In lieu of a degree, we will consider an otherwise solid candidate who has a strong background in teaching English as a second language.
In addition to having strong working knowledge of English grammar, candidates must also possess good penmanship and spelling as well as confidence typing and navigating on a computer.
