Gaba Specifics
At Gaba, we believe in providing potential applicants with the necessary information about our system to make an informed decision about joining our team. The outline below gives specific details about the Instructor position.

- Remuneration
- 1. All Instructors start at the base lesson rate of 1,500 yen per 40-minute lesson taught. This rate can increase to a maximum of 2,200 yen per lesson after completion of successful Belt-up applications.
- 2. Our lesson schedules are finalized by the evening of the previous working day. After finalization, Instructors will be paid for every booked lesson on their schedule.
- 3. Lesson spaces that are not booked do not receive any compensation.
- Schedules
- 1. Schedules are flexible and are chosen by the Instructor.
- 2. Each lesson is 40 minutes long.
- 3. Instructors have a 5-minute break between each lesson.
- Please Note: Although we offer the flexibility of submitting a schedule based on your availability, our peak times of operation are weekday mornings, evenings and all day weekends and holidays. Schedule requests outside of peak times may be placed on a waiting list.
- Locations
- Kanto: Includes the cities of Tokyo and Yokohama
- Kansai: Includes the cities of Osaka, Kyoto, and Kobe
- Nagoya: Location in Nagoya
- Pay Period
- All Gaba Instructors are paid on the 25th of the month after the lessons are taught; e.g. If John taught 175 lessons in April, he would be paid for those lessons on the 25th of May.
- Please Note: In order for us to remit payment, all Instructors must have a bank account in their name with a Japanese banking institution.
